Job summary

Animal Medical Center of Merced offers a veterinary externship designed for 3rd and 4th year students. Externs work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain hands-on experience in patient histories, exams, treatment planning, diagnostics, dentistry, and both surgical observation/participation.

• Externship experience in a veterinary practice.
• Gaining experience in patient histories, exams, plans, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery.
• Open to 3rd and 4th year veterinary students.
• Stipend of $1,500 for travel/living provided.

Responsibilities

• Glean patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Develop treatment plans and order diagnostics.
