Greenbrier Veterinary Hospital is offering a veterinary externship designed to provide students with hands-on clinical experience in a supportive environment. Externs will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to learn patient histories, exams, treatment planning, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical observation or participation.

Externships typically run from two to eight weeks, with travel/living expense stipends available for eligible veterinary students in the clinical

• All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in gathering patient histories and performing physical exams; create treatment plans; perform diagnostics and dentistry; observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures; and manage medical cases.
