National Veterinary Associates is offering a hands-on externship at Mannsdale Animal Clinic in Madison, MS for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students. Gain experience in clinical skills by working closely with supervising veterinarians. The externship spans from two to eight weeks, providing opportunities to enhance both veterinary and communication skills. Job description

We are a small animal clinic located in Madison, MS. We have a unique culture and provide a hands-on learning environment for externs! We will help you learn, help you grow, and most importantly help you become the best veterinarian you can be. We not only concentrate on quality medicine but quality client education and communication as well. We are here to "Redefine the Veterinary Experience."

Students will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creation of treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and medical management of patients. In addition to practicing their clinical skills, student externs will have the opportunity to practice their communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules.Externships at Mannsdale Animal Clinic are designed for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students.
