Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking an Underwriting Intern for an in-office role in Chicago, IL. You will work with experienced underwriters to review submissions, learn risk assessment, and support pricing decisions while gaining hands-on experience.

You will organize data, track records, and summarize industry trends for the team, building practical skills in underwriting within a people-first culture. The internship runs 7/ June–8/2026?

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field (graduating between December 2027 and May 2028).
• Majoring in risk management, business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of insurance principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with underwriters to review insurance submissions and understand what makes a risk a good fit.
• Learn the fundamentals of risk assessment, pricing, and underwriting strategy through real examples and team discussions.
• Help organize underwriting information, update records, and keep key details accurate and easy to access.
• Research industry trends, emerging risks, and market insights, then summarize findings for the team.
• Contribute to team projects, meetings, and day-to-day coordination while building confidence in a professional business environment.
