Job summary

Leonardo DRS, Inc. in Danbury, CT seeks an Engineering Technician to support the Test Engineering group with hands-on duties, test setup, data analysis, and direct engineering support.

You will operate test equipment, fabricate test fixtures from drawings, maintain lab safety, and ensure test procedures are followed. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD clearance are required. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of applicable experience in test and lab environments
• Ability to interpret schematics and read drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and practical knowledge of hand tools
• Experience with MS Office products
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware to the component level

Responsibilities

• Set up test apparatus and conduct operational testing
• Write test reports to assess product performance per specifications
• Review project instructions and drawings to determine test specs and equipment
• Set up and conduct tests of assembled units and components
• Record results with numerical and graphical data
• Analyze test results related to design and objectives
• Provide hands-on feedback to engineers
• Support qualification testing including test execution coordination
