Job summary

Nal Technologies (Naltec) is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to join our Quality Testing Team in Manassas, Virginia. This full-time, onsite role focuses on validating satellite tracking systems, communication devices, and supporting software for reliability and ruggedness.

You will perform electrical, environmental, and functional testing, develop test plans with engineers, and assist with calibration and field testing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering or related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or 5–10 years of direct testing experience.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, VNAs, vector analyzers, data acquisition modules, spectrum analyzers, and programmable power supplies.
• Ability to write clear test plans and reports for internal teams, external labs, and customers.
• Willingness to load firmware and work with MIL-STD-810/MIL-STD-461 requirements; IP networking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, environmental, and functional testing on existing and developing products.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop comprehensive test plans addressing environments, circuit functionality, data processing, and certifications.
• Assist software engineers with testing electrical systems and operational modes.
• Support automation scripts and calibration of lab equipment.
• Set up and operate testing fixtures, probes, and laboratory hardware.
• Travel to customer locations for field testing and support.
