Job summary

State Street seeks a Development Lead for hands-on backend development using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, with Databricks and data engineering tech. You will guide teams, ensure code quality and performance, and own delivery across design to production support.

You will work with Business, QA, DevOps, and product teams to drive scalable, reliable platforms and modern data pipelines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience with background as a Technical Lead.
• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL.
• Hands-on development with data engineering and large-scale platforms.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor globally distributed teams.
• Excellent debugging and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead as a development lead and senior hands-on developer to guide the team.
• Design and maintain backend services and batch processes with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Write optimized SQL for data transformation and analytics use cases.
• Work with Databricks and Oracle for data processing and tuning.
• Own day-to-day development execution, planning, and delivery tracking.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce standards for quality and performance.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases and CI/CD support.
• Mentor junior and senior developers across global teams.
