Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking a Systems and Automation Engineer to design, build, and support industrial analyzer systems. You will work across automation, controls, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions for process environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware interaction, programming across multiple languages, and integration of instrumentation with control software. Travel to customer sites is anticipated.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical/computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Programming in Python, Java, structured text, C#, or JavaScript.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting across hardware, software, instrumentation, and process equipment.
• Willingness to travel ~20–25% for field activities.
• Hands-on aptitude and willingness to work directly with equipment.
• Self-motivation, organization, and fast learning of new tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and improve industrial analyzer systems with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and support PLC-based control systems for pumps, valves, heaters, sensors, and other equipment.
• Create and maintain HMI/SCADA applications for real-time data visualization and system health monitoring.
• Integrate instrumentation, analyzers, industrial devices, control hardware, and software into complete products.
• Support manufacturing builds, factory acceptance testing, installations, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Assist with electrical and controls design tasks, including I/O mapping, wiring documentation, and troubleshooting.
