Job summary

Afton Scientific is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to join our Virginia-based Engineering team. This role supports engineering, validation, and manufacturing activities through the execution of engineering studies, equipment implementation, process improvement, and hands-on support of sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

Qualified candidates have a technical degree or associate degree, proficiency with Word and Excel, and the ability to work on-site.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent required.
Two-year associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; ability to learn additional software.
Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the execution and reporting of engineering protocols and formal studies.
Support installation, qualification, and validation of new instrumentation and equipment.
Evaluate, select, and order parts and components for engineering batches.
Perform hands-on setup and preparation of sterile pharmaceutical products and components.
Support validation activities, including equipment setup and validation studies.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other departments to support manufacturing objectives.
