Job summary

Delta Dallas is partnering with a growing financial services firm in Frisco to identify a Staff Accountant who will own significant portions of the accounting cycle for multiple clients. This hands-on role offers direct client interaction and exposure to various industries, going beyond routine bookkeeping.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3+ years hands-on accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and prepaids.
• QuickBooks Online and Excel experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients.
• Handle month-end close, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain GAAP-basis financial statements.
• Assist with cash flow reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Manage AP/AR questions and client requests.
• Maintain accurate books and supporting documentation.
• Support audit and other accounting-related requests.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting needs.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
• Collaborate with Partners and accounting team as client needs evolve.
