Job summary

Conveyor Concepts (CCMich) in Coopersville, MI is seeking a Shipping & Crating Technician for day shifts to build custom wooden skids and crates, and to secure large fabricated components by measurement and manual methods.

Four 10-hour shifts with limited overtime and no mandatory weekends welcome hands-on problem solvers. Forklift experience, safe practices, and precise documentation are essential to ensure safe, accurate shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Comfort with physical, hands-on work throughout the shift.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, shipping, or construction preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Build custom skids and crates to safely support large, irregular shipments.
• Measure materials and plan how loads are supported and secured.
• Prepare shipments by packing, sealing, labeling, and documenting contents.
• Verify shipment contents against shipping records and photograph shipments.
• Operate a forklift to move materials as needed and maintain a clean shipping area.
