Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader who will lead the shift, supervise hands-on operations, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied. You will work side-by-side with your team, stepping in across cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles to model excellent service and maintain brand standards.

The role emphasizes leadership by example, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment while training new crew members and driving positive culture on every shift.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
