Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in the United States to supervise and stand in for management on site. You will lead by example, work alongside the team, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

Responsibilities include directing shift operations, covering all roles when needed, and coaching crew members to maintain fast, high‑quality service. A path for growth into Assistant/General Manager is highlighted.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
