Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Server Repair Tech to test, diagnose, and replace faulty components in servers sent for repair.

A high school diploma is required; 1 year in a repair depot is preferred. You will work on server assemblies, run diagnostics, and document results, collaborating across teams in a warehouse environment. This role supports 2nd shift and requires basic networking knowledge and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer 1 year of repair depot experience.
• Experience in low production PC-type environments preferred.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Familiarity with multiple models (ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Apple, Acer).
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and diagnose servers.
• Replace parts as needed.
• Conduct server stress tests and document results.
• Record symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in shop floor tool.
• Collaborate with motherboard repair/testing QC and inspections teams.
• Provide back-up for QC and motherboard testing.
• Maintain parts consumption and inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Foster teamwork and coordinate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving.
