Job summary

RoboForce in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Model Evaluation Operator for AI robotics on a contractor basis. You will execute closed‑loop evaluation workflows, manipulate robots, document performance, and help improve AI models through real‑world testing.

The role requires an associate/bachelor degree or equivalent hands‑on robotics experience, comfort with lab hardware, and basic Linux/Python skills. Evening shift, on‑site work, with a focus on safety and data quality.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working with physical robotic hardware in lab or industrial settings.
• Strong attention to detail and careful observation of system behavior.
• Ability to stay focused and perform repetitive technical tasks with quality.
• Strong sense of operational consistency and process discipline.
• Basic familiarity with Linux command‑line tools and scripting basics.

Responsibilities

• Execute closed‑loop robotic model evaluation workflows in real‑world environments.
• Perform robotic manipulation and operational tasks with high consistency and accuracy.
• Observe and document robot behavior, model performance, failures, and edge cases.
• Maintain evaluation logs, notes, and performance records for engineering review.
• Identify inconsistencies, safety risks, and unexpected robot behaviors.
• Follow structured setup, execution, reset, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Annotate operational data to support AI model training and validation.
• Run Linux commands and basic scripts for workflow execution.
• Assist with hardware setup, calibration, and stable robot operation.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to improve evaluation quality.
• Maintain lab organization, discipline, and safety standards.
