Start dates are May 17th or May 24th, internship runs through August. You will work alongside experienced professionals at the Bartow site, gaining practical skills and exposure to operations across North America.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in chemistry or related field.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interest in environmental services industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other relevant tools.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Receive containers, verify counts/sizes, and code waste for disposal processing.
• Sample incoming drums and perform basic analyses per procedures.
• Sort batteries and consolidate alkaline batteries for disposal.
• Confirm drums are correctly coded for routing and billing.
• Ensure proper disposal process and outbound profile for drums.
• Move drums from staging to storage areas as needed.
• Complete related paperwork and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Maintain a safe working environment per OSHA and company protocols.
