Job summary

Central States Industrial (CSI) is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead fabrication projects in a growing organization. You’ll collaborate with customers and internal teams to define scope, estimate costs, and manage schedules from print to finished product.

Key responsibilities include building cost proposals, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with the shop to ensure on-time delivery. This role emphasizes hands-on project work, improvement, and accountability in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Associate degree required with technical emphasis preferred; Bachelor’s a plus.
• 2–4+ years in fabrication, job shop, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with estimating, quoting, or cost analysis strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with drawings, specs, and fabrication methods.
• Microsoft Office required (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Define scope, requirements, and solutions with customers and internal teams.
• Support design, estimating, and cost development for fabricated components.
• Build and manage accurate cost proposals (materials, labor, methods, margins).
• Review drawings, specs, and industry standards to ensure build accuracy.
• Coordinate with the shop to keep projects moving and on schedule.
• Provide technical support to production and resolve fabrication challenges.
• Communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Track project progress, costs, and performance.
• Compare estimated vs. actual costs to improve future quoting accuracy.
• Contribute to process improvements, cost reductions, and better build methods.
