Job summary

Gibraltar is seeking a Production Assistant for our Myrtle Beach, SC site to support machine operators in production, packaging, labeling and inspection. You will help meet schedules while upholding quality, safety and efficiency standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Less than a high school education, high school diploma/GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 months of manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate basic English.
• Basic math skills, including add, subtract, count, and simple measurements.
• Follow safety rules, operating instructions, and standard work procedures.
• Stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Able to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial environments.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators by catching and organizing products as they are produced.
• Assemble cardboard boxes and packaging materials to support production requirements.
• Package finished products using appropriate taping, gluing, banding, and labeling methods.
• Verify product quantities, labels, and packaging specifications before shipment.
• Stack and organize finished goods onto pallets according to established standards.
• Monitor products for defects and elevate quality concerns as needed.
• Support 5S and housekeeping initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Promote a strong safety culture by following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
• Maintain reliable attendance and support overtime requirements when necessary.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
