Job summary

Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is seeking an optimistic, committed intern studying Agriculture Business (or related degrees) to engage in fresh citrus production line management. The internship requires a minimum of 20 hours per week for about three months, with extension possible after a 90-day review.

You will shadow a production manager, rotate through departments, and gain hands-on experience across the company’s processes and machinery to drive efficiency and quality in fruit production.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of quality control and other techniques to maximize the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and in a team setting.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
• The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.

Responsibilities

• Partner with an experienced production manager to ensure high-quality fruit production for customers.
• Assist with management of packers, graders, machine operators, and forklift drivers.
• Help ensure company policies are followed.
• Support enforcement of food safety and general safety programs.
• Oversee machinery and equipment to maintain efficiency with supervisor support.
• Communicate with leadership to share ideas and streamline processes.
• Provide day-to-day reporting to upper management and sales team to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and resolve problems timely while guiding and training production staff.
