Job summary

General Technologies, Inc. is seeking a machine operator responsible for loading and unloading parts, inspecting quality, packing, labeling, and housekeeping in a manufacturing setting.

You will operate assigned machinery, maintain cycle times, and coordinate with leads for any issues. The role requires physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand or sit for the entire shift, and may include overtime or weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in production is a plus but not required (training provided).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Flexible to work extended shifts and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery throughout shift.
• Maintain product creation within designated cycle time at all times.
• Communicate with leads and/or supervisors of any discrepancies or assistance needed.
• Package finished product according to instruction; assure finished product meets quality and specifications.
• Correct/separate good/bad products consistently.
• Assemble finished product, if needed.
• Promote and exercise safety by using PPE and follow all safety policies and procedures while in the plant.
• Maintain cleanliness of area around assigned machine by picking up trash, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.
• Assemble boxes to be used during shift and/or next shift.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Assist cell leads in relieving operators for breaks.
• Occasionally train new operators on assigned machines, as needed
