Job summary
voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation in Shelby County, Kentucky, is seeking a hands-on Process/Tooling Engineer to support production on the floor and coordinate with Process, Project, and Tool Engineering. You will analyze tool designs, run trials, perform troubleshooting, and assist with CI and cost-reduction projects while ensuring safety and quality.
The role requires HS Diploma and 5+ years in metal forming, familiarity with CAD, and experience with robot welding/CNC, with a two-year
Qualifications
- Hands-on troubleshooting and development on the production floor.
- Ability to analyze data to improve tool and process quality.
- Strong problem solving and ability to interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Experience with CAD and manufacturing software.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, GD&T and quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide process operations support with troubleshooting and development.
- Assist in process optimization.
- Analyze data to improve tool and process quality.
- Verify manufacturing standards, actual vs estimates.
- Perform process capability and uptime studies.
- Assist Maintenance with repeat machine problems.
- Lead CI/cost-reduction and safety projects.
- Research and trial supplies to improve cost/quality.
