Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a Saint Cloud, MN based mailing and printing services company to place a Press Operator. This temporary or contract role offers weekly pay and the chance to gain hands-on experience with commercial web presses.

You will assist with setup, monitor print production, inspect color and quality, and help with changeovers while following safety rules. Training is provided for independent operation.

Qualifications

• Printing experience preferred; mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential.
• Ability to understand simple written and verbal instructions and communicate with team members.
• Able to stand and walk for most of the shift while frequently bending, reaching, and crawling.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and safely perform physical tasks in a production environment.
• Good close, distance, and peripheral vision to monitor fast-moving printing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced press operators with setting up commercial web printing presses and loading large paper rolls.
• Monitor print production by checking ink, water, and paper levels while making basic machine adjustments as directed.
• Inspect printed materials for color consistency and print quality, pulling samples at scheduled intervals.
• Support machine changeovers, clean printing equipment, and maintain an organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report any hazards or equipment concerns.
• Participate in hands-on training to develop the skills needed to independently operate commercial web printing presses.
