Job summary

Simplot Caldwell, ID invites students to join the Plant Operations Intern program for May–August. You will gain hands-on experience in a modern food manufacturing environment, analyzing data, observing production on the floor, and supporting efficiency and quality initiatives.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, tackle real projects, and develop skills in problem solving, teamwork, and leadership, with mentorship from seasoned operations leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Preferred areas of study include Agriculture, Food Science, Engineering, Business, Operations Management or related field.
• Strong GPA preferred (minimum 3.0).

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to support improvement initiatives and business decisions.
• Spend time on the production floor gathering insights and learning how manufacturing processes work in real time.
• Partner with employees across multiple departments to gain exposure to a variety of roles within manufacturing.
• Contribute to projects that support efficiency, product quality, safety, and operational excellence.
• Learn how industry-leading potato and vegetable products are produced from start to finish.
• Present findings and recommendations from internship projects to site leadership and key stakeholders.
