Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Plant Biotechnology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience independently executing Agrobacterium-mediated transient expression assays in N. benthamiana.
• Strong experimental execution, organization and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to maintain a hands-on experimental role.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute transient expression assays in N. benthamiana.
• Evaluate candidate constructs and regulatory elements.
• Design cloning strategies for expression testing and optimize assays for throughput and relevance.
• Develop molecular/crop assays in soybean and corn and translate findings to stable systems.
• Collaborate with research, transformation and greenhouse teams to support project goals.
