Job summary

Emerson's Interactive Plant Environment team in Boulder, CO is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the integration of two sites via DeltaV distributed control systems and to gain hands-on experience with industrial processes.

You will configure remote connectivity, test communications, and document configurations while collaborating with engineering and marketing teams to align deliverables with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 0 years of related experience.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of the Boulder and Shakopee Interactive Plant Environments through DeltaV distributed control systems and remote connectivity between sites.
• Configure and test remote connectivity features within the DeltaV control system for reliable communication across distributed environments.
• Identify enhancements to the customer experience within the IPE, leveraging remote connectivity to expand reach of demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Boulder Marketing Coriolis team and engineering stakeholders to align deliverables with business goals and technical requirements.
• Gain hands-on exposure to Emerson technologies across measurement and control disciplines and understand their integration into simulated unit operations within the IPE.
• Document system configurations, connectivity architectures, and enhancement recommendations for ongoing IPE development.
