Job summary

Post Consumer Brands is seeking a Production Operator for its Troy, Alabama plant. You will operate high-speed automated packaging equipment to fill, cap, label, and prepare peanut butter products for shipment, ensuring product quality and safety.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail and the ability to learn new equipment, perform changeovers, and handle routine operating issues. We value a team player who can work off-standard hours including weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Follow product specifications, safety practices, quality requirements, and food safety procedures.
• Complete accurate production records, machine logs, and work order requests.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment according to product specifications and adjust as needed.
• Verify correct packaging materials and date codes before and during production.
• Monitor fillers, cappers, labelers, case sealers, packaging quality, and case printing.
• Complete production and machine documentation accurately, including downtime logs and work orders.
• Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, equipment changeovers, and deep cleaning after changes.
• Identify and report mechanical and nonmechanical issues to supervisor or lead.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety, quality, and food safety requirements.
• Support SQF programs and ongoing improvements to ensure safe, quality food.
