Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Hazleton, PA is seeking a Machine Operator to start up production machines, monitor set points, perform minor maintenance, and ensure proper materials and labeling on the line. You will record production data and assist with training colleagues.

Requires a high school diploma with mechanical training and 1–3 years of packaging equipment experience; basic math, reading/writing skills, and familiarity with CNC machines are helpful.

Qualifications

• Requires high school education or equivalent with mechanical/technical training on packaging, plastics and printing equipment.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years experience operating machines in packaging/plastics industry.
• Basic reading, writing and speaking skills; practical arithmetic, algebra and measurement calculations.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including use of CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Start up production machines and monitor set points for accuracy.
• Operate various packaging machines; clean filters, perform minor maintenance and purge as needed.
• Ensure correct sleeves, boxes, labels and materials are used; verify by part numbers.
• Conduct quality inspections and record production/quality data; report issues to supervisor.
• Provide relief for breaks and lunches and assist with training other Technician Operators.
