Job summary
John Scott House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, a 5-star skilled facility, seeks a compassionate Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to lead our short-term unit and mentor staff. This on-site role involves hands-on resident care, care planning, and coordinating with families.
You will participate in on-call rotations, collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining high clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Current MA RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily clinical operations of a long‑term care unit.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete resident assessments and oversee care planning.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation.
- Assist with admissions and clinical problem‑solving.
- Provide direct resident care as needed, including occasional medication administration and taking a medication cart to support the team during staffing needs or busy periods.
