Signifyd is seeking a hands-on manager to lead one of the ML teams within Signifyd AI Lab (SAIL). You will guide a team of engineers and data scientists, translating complex ML performance metrics into practical business outcomes for Risk leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in machine learning, data science, or ML-adjacent software engineering with people management experience.
• Ability to mentor engineers and translate ML metrics into business outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across stakeholders.
• Comfort leading in ambiguity and balancing research with delivery.
• Strong commitment to quality, reproducibility, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the team: manage career development, resolve conflicts, set goals, and maintain a positive, collaborative environment across distributed teams.
• Run a portfolio of experiments: pressure-test ideas, allocate resources, and document decisions with transparency.
• Set direction from data: partner with Risk and platform teams, define measurable commitments, and defend prioritization.
• Own delivery cadence: ensure end-to-end evaluation and ship valuable work, stopping work that does not meet criteria.
• Demonstrate executive judgment: balance research bets with quarterly delivery and communicate results clearly to leadership.
