Job summary

Galleher Industries in Kaufman, TX, is seeking a Metal Supervisor to lead the daily metal operation and actively fabricate parts alongside the team. You will direct employees, assign work, train operators, monitor safety and quality, and keep production moving to meet customer commitments.

The role requires reading prints, setting up and operating fabrication equipment, inspecting parts, troubleshooting issues, and producing quality work.

Qualifications

• Three+ years metal fabrication or manufacturing experience with machine operation.
• Previous lead/supervisory experience managing work and training staff.
• Experience operating press brakes, roll formers, shears, punches, saws, plasma equipment.
• Ability to read prints and work orders; use precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; changeovers and basic troubleshooting; welding preferred.
• Forklift experience; move and stage metal safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily metal production and meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost goals.
• Assign workers and equipment; communicate priorities and safety concerns.
• Train operators on equipment setup, print interpretation, inspection, and processes.
• Set expectations, recognize performance, address issues, involve GM as needed.
• Review work orders and prints; resolve missing information before starting.
• Set up, operate, and adjust fabrication equipment while guiding team.
• Complete inspections and contain nonconforming work.
• Monitor labor, materials, and equipment; maintain records.
• Support PM, tooling care, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and PPE compliance.
• Coordinate with GM to drive improvements reducing scrap and downtime.
