Job summary

Gwynedd Manufacturing is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, fixtures, and machining processes. The role involves hands-on collaboration with CNC operators and machinists to improve efficiency, quality, and safety on the production floor.

The ideal candidate will design fixtures, develop CNC programs, and create precise documentation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience reading drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Hands-on, machining and tooling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, tooling, jigs, and manufacturing equipment.
• Develop fixtures and workholding to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Create engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications.
• Develop and modify CNC programs and CAM toolpaths to support production.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, tooling, fixture, and machining issues on the shop floor.
