Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a technically driven team. You will work hands-on on Low Voltage Assembly (LVA) design, creating SolidWorks models and drawings, and supporting the design cycle with documentation and BOMs.

The role emphasizes self-motivation, teamwork, problem solving, and delivering milestones in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Word/Excel/Access and design processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; a two-year degree with experience also acceptable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and database tools such as Access.
• SolidWorks experience preferred for 3D modeling and drawings.
• Ability to self-manage, collaborate in a team and meet milestones.
• Strong communication skills, proactive mindset and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering staff with Low Voltage Assemblies (LVA) project requirements.
• Generate SolidWorks models and drawings per project/site needs.
• Execute mechanical design tasks following established procedures.
• Document and organize project files and BOMs.
• Coordinate design reviews with Electrical and Design Engineers.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials for design packages.
• Track design milestones and update project status.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams.
