Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• 3-5+ years in mechanical engineering, product engineering, R&D or mechanical design.
• Strong 3D CAD and mechanical design experience, with SolidWorks preferred.
• Hands-on prototyping, testing, validation or design verification experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and drawings.
• Ability to work independently and own projects with minimal guidance.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving development environment where designs are iterated.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new mechanical products and product families.
• Create 3D models, assemblies and technical drawings using CAD software.
• Develop concepts and prototypes using 3D printing and machining resources.
• Perform hands-on lab testing, design verification and product validation.
• Collaborate with machinists and production teams to iterate designs.
• Evaluate materials and manufacturing processes for performance and manufacturability.
• Support products throughout development to market introduction.
• Lead and contribute to new product development projects.
• Support engineering changes, drawing updates and documentation.
• Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot design challenges.
