Jabil in Memphis is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to hand-assemble large-scale cooling systems used in data centers. You will follow work instructions, use rivet guns, torque wrenches, scanners, and lifting equipment as part of a collaborative production team.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to customer specifications, with responsibilities spanning from basic assembly to area organization and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/assembly experience.
• Ability to read simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Able to use Windows-based PC software.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision to perform basic assembly operations.
• Assemble units per specifications and visual aids.
• Coordinate with teammates for tasks requiring multiple members.
• Operate manual and automated lifting devices safely.
• Visually inspect parts for correct placement.
• Maintain progress reports and restock parts bins.
• Follow standard procedures and escalate complex issues.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to drive corrective actions.
• Support area organization 5S attributes.
