Job summary

Thrasher Foundation Repair is seeking a hands-on Mechanic to support our Kansas City team. You will maintain construction equipment, vehicles, trailers, and small engines, perform diagnostics, and carry out repairs to keep operations moving.

The role offers travel across the South region and a weekly start time of 6:00 AM, with potential overtime. A DOT medical card is required and a valid MVR/background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

2-4 years of mechanical and/or engine repair experience.
Experience with gas/diesel engines and diagnosing repairs.
Own professional mechanic tools preferred.
Must pass MVR and background checks.
DOT medical card required; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on vehicles, trailers, construction equipment, and small engines.
Troubleshoot equipment and determine repairs.
Work on excavators, generators, power washers, and other equipment.
Diagnose engines, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
Respond to breakdowns and prioritize repairs based on urgency.
Maintain shop organization and safety standards.
Travel to support equipment and crews in the South region as needed.
