Job summary

White Cap is seeking an assembler to perform production tasks on an assembly line, including inserting materials, cutting and packing. This hands-on role involves repetitive bench work and accuracy to meet specifications.

Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED (2–5 years preferred) and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Adherence to safety procedures is essential; on-site work with no travel.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Involves insertion of materials, clamping, fitting parts and use of hand tools.
• May perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and pneumatic tooling.
• Create shop drawings indicating specific components to be processed; label products and packages.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes; place finished goods on the designated pallet.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements; maintain a clean, safe work area and perform prescribed preventative maintenance.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Follow standard work methods and safety practices to maximize efficiency and safety.
