Job summary

CVR Energy is offering an internship to support research, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for products, facilities, tooling, and equipment. The intern will work with a designated mentor to set goals and complete HSSE orientation at the nitrogen plant.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on experience with process engineering tasks, while adhering to safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• College student studying mechanical, chemical or environmental engineering
• GPA at least 3.0 on 4.0 scale (preferred)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

• Attend safety and team meetings
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and help repair instruments
• Shadow Plant Operators or Laboratory Technician as needed
• Observe Instrument Technician testing and IPF checks
• Make computer entries and operate equipment
• Participate in Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
• Support engineering problem solving and method testing
