Job summary

IronLeaf Designs is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our fabrication team and own daily shop-floor operations. This is a working leadership role, guiding jobs from release through production, inspection, and shipment, while coordinating people, equipment, materials, and deadlines.

The candidate should demonstrate hands-on CNC experience with metal and plastic fabrication, strong leadership, problem-solving, and a commitment to ISO 9001:2015 quality practices.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing or fabrication shop.
• Demonstrated hands-on CNC experience, including machine setup, operation, troubleshooting and shop-floor workflows.
• Direct, hands-on experience manufacturing or fabricating products using both metal and plastic materials.
• At least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a similar environment, with proven leadership and accountability.
• Ability to read technical drawings, understand dimensions and tolerances, and use precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Own daily operations of the manufacturing floor, including staffing, work assignments, priorities, and machine utilization.
• Lead, coach, train, and manage CNC/router, laser, plasma, and other production personnel; set clear expectations and address performance.
• Delegate work based on skills, capacity, materials, and deadlines; follow up to ensure completion.
• Run daily production reviews, remove bottlenecks, and communicate risks to the COO.
• Oversee end-to-end job ownership from planning through packaging and shipment, ensuring quality and traceability.
