Looking for a hands-on role with a growing, safety-focused manufacturing team right here in Gladwin, MI. Spherion Staffing, LLC is hiring Machine Operators, Assemblers, and Industrial Sewers for a prime manufacturer in Gladwin County.

Pay rate is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour with first shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday. The environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and growth—employees are empowered to learn new skills, cross-train, and advance within a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and pneumatic equipment (e.g., air staplers, air guns).
• Ability to read and interpret basic manufacturing drawings and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, run basic wiring, process parts, and operate shop machinery (such as drills, mills, or saws).
• Set up and operate industrial sewing machines, lay out and cut fabrics using shop drawings, and manage thread/machine maintenance.
• Read basic manufacturing prints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly dimensions and part locations.
• Safely utilize hand tools, pneumatic air guns, air staplers, and semi-automatic manufacturing equipment.
• Inspect finished products for quality, prep orders for shipment, maintain a clean workspace, and strictly follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
• Cross-train across departments and collaborate with team members to hit production goals.
