Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an Manufacturing Engineer Technician to provide hands-on technical support in the metal forming and manufacturing environment. You will assist with process improvement, equipment optimization, and ensure product quality through data-driven troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a metal powder or sintering industry.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and instrumentation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Experience with data collection and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes.
Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment and machinery.
Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and support problem‑solving initiatives.
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement projects.
Create and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with production teams to train operators on new processes and equipment.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, including prototyping and process validation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
