MP Materials in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Design Drafter to join the Physical Engineering Design team as we design and build a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of American manufacturing with a central role in a greenfield project.

The ideal candidate will blend strong technical drafting skills with practical, hands-on experience to support equipment sourcing, construction, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or AAS in a mechanical-related field or equivalent.
• Ability to read and create technical drawings and CAD models.
• Knowledge of process safety and industrial standards (ASTM/ISO).
• Experience with automation for industrial processes and materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and assemble manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of process equipment with engineers.
• Integrate equipment into facility process flow and conduct design reviews.
• Create CAD models and perform durability simulations (FEA).
• Order, assemble, and test equipment for commissioning and operation.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance; document work and change control.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and external/internal audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
