Global Precision Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Controller for a contract-to-hire role in the Mansfield area. You will oversee manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, cost analysis, and close processes, delivering timely GAAP-compliant financial statements and actionable insight.

You will partner with the COO to drive budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, while leading the accounting team and coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• 3–5+ years in Controller, Assistant Controller, or equivalent senior leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, and product costing.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close processes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial performance reporting.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements per U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee inventory valuation, product costing, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Analyze inventory levels, product margins, pricing, and cost variances to identify profitability improvements.
• Partner with operations to strengthen inventory controls and costing methodologies.
• Maintain effective internal controls and integrity of financial records.
• Partner with the COO to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and business projections.
• Provide financial analysis to support operational decisions and cost control.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and strengthen performance.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings; ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee ERP systems and process improvements; pursue lean initiatives.
• Lead and develop the accounting team and collaborate across departments.
