Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician in Chester, VA, offering $35-$42 per hour and an on-site, permanent role. You’ll support plant operations, perform repairs, and drive improvements across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years in industrial maintenance, reads blueprints, and can fabricate components using machine tools. PLC knowledge and welding are a plus in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

3–7+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated equipment (PLCs preferred).
Comfortable fabricating parts and using machine shop equipment.
Basic welding experience preferred.
Exposure to printing or similar manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting on production equipment.
Dismantle, repair, and rebuild machinery including bearings, shafts, gears, and motors.
Install and maintain automated equipment including PLC-controlled systems.
Support preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
Fabricate and repair components using machine tools (lathe, mill, drill, grinder).
Complete basic welding tasks as needed for repairs and modifications.
Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance documentation.
Assist with plant projects alongside engineering and maintenance leadership.
Repair facility structures and support general plant upkeep.
