Job summary

Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Christiana, PA is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance department. You will preserve building condition and functionality, inspect premises, schedule repairs, maintain inventory, and develop preventative maintenance procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a similar role, with knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, and a certificate in HVAC or building maintenance preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Long-term care or Assisted living experience required.
• HVAC/building maintenance certificate preferred.
• Physically capable and able to work overtime, weekends, holidays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues.
• Repair faulty equipment and damaged structures.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• Plan and schedule repairs.
• Perform landscaping, painting, and carpentry as needed.
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems.
