Job summary

East West Hospitality on Kiawah Island seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operation at The Cape. This hands-on role will oversee a small team, coordinate vendors, perform core trades, and work with owners and onsite staff to maintain the property at the highest standards.

We offer a full-time, year-round position with a starting pay rate of $72,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in building or hospitality maintenance.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Experience managing work orders, preventive maintenance programs, vendors, and projects.
• Licensing: valid driver's license; HVAC and Certified Pool Operator certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the maintenance team and stay hands-on.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliances.
• Troubleshoot issues and decide internal vs vendor work.
• Manage preventative and seasonal maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with owners, onsite team, and vendors.
• Support financials: capital planning and repair recommendations.
• Maintain records of work orders, warranties, and inspections.
• Participate in on-call coverage after hours and emergencies.
