Job summary

Unitex is seeking a full-time, hands-on Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead a team of industrial mechanics and porters in our Lawrence, MA laundry plant. The role manages maintenance operations, preventive programs, and safety in a fast-paced environment with a tight schedule and growth potential.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on maintenance experience across electrical, pneumatic, and steam systems, plus supervisory capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or the military.

Responsibilities

• Oversees 20 mechanics and 7 porters.
• Maintains the preventive maintenance programs.
• Aids the maintenance team in diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Monitors quality of repairs.
• Oversees building and physical plant repair issues.
• Maintains porter schedule to maximize cleaning effectiveness of plant and machinery.
• Adheres to safety programs.
