Job summary

Interns work with attorney teams in research, drafting, case reviews, depositions, and court proceedings, receiving coaching and feedback to develop professional skills and prepare

Qualifications

• Qualifications include law school student status or recent graduate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Excellent organization and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Writing Motions including Objections to Motions to Strike, Objections to Motion for Summary Judgment, Motion to Strike Defenses, Motion to preclude experts
• Drafting complaints
• Assisting with trial preparation
• Legal Research - research on a variety of legal topics including issues related to the apportionment of claims, the statute of limitations, non‑delegable duties, issues related to civil procedure, and issues surrounding the use and admissibility of expert testimony.
• Observe depositions and mediations
• Attend court proceedings
• Administrative - Utilize the case management software system for data entry, checklists, documentation, and interoffice communication. Appropriate use of e‑mail, scanning, and other automation tools.
