Job summary

Bright Landscapes in Alabama is seeking a Landscape Construction Manager to lead the Landscape Construction Division, driving project execution, profitability, and client satisfaction from handoff through closeout. This hands-on leader will manage field operations, develop scalable processes, mentor foremen and project teams, and partner with Finance to forecast revenue and backlog as the division grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial landscape construction or related field-driven environment.
• Experience managing projects and field operations with accountability for schedule, labor, quality, safety, and financial results.
• Strong knowledge of landscape installation, irrigation, hardscape, grading, site development, and construction sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, labor analysis, and change management.
• Experience with subcontractor coordination, procurement, and client communication.
• Ability to lead and develop Foremen, Crew Leaders, and field crews.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred; safety-focused leadership.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Hands-on, field-presence leadership with a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall financial and operational performance of the Landscape Construction Division.
• Deliver budgeted revenue, gross margin, labor efficiency, and profitability targets.
• Manage commercial landscape projects from turnover through closeout and ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.
• Maintain project schedules, documentation, change orders, and job costs.
• Serve as primary contact for contractors, developers, owners, and stakeholders; lead project meetings.
• Lead daily field operations, translate plans into production, and adjust manpower as needed.
• Oversee labor productivity, material costs, equipment utilization, and vendor coordination.
• Build scalable processes and leadership bench to support future division growth.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and safety across all crews.
