Job summary

System One is seeking a Lab Technician in North Kingstown, RI to gain hands-on lab experience and develop skills in a growing food microbiology lab. The role offers a 3-month contract with daytime hours Tues–Fri, 11am–7pm, and a pay rate of $18–$20 per hour.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. You will prepare and analyze samples, record data, and maintain instruments while following EHS and QA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic lab or production experience preferred
• Aseptic experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (samples packed in ice)
• Strong time management and quality focus
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples using standard techniques
• Record, calculate, and report data
• Perform routine instrument maintenance
• Wash glassware and keep work area clean
• Aliquot and weigh samples
