Job summary
AtkinsRéalis in Orlando, FL is seeking an ITS/Traffic Engineering Intern for Spring 2027 to support project delivery, data collection and field assessments.
You will develop plans and documents, review ITS device locations, and prepare exhibits using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with mentorship from professionals. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience and growth opportunities within the AtkinsRéalis network.
Qualifications
- 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
- 0-2 years of experience in a related technical field.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Math skills for simple calculations and learning mindset.
Responsibilities
- Develop plans, specifications, and other documentation to support project delivery.
- Compile data and prepare reports related to projects.
- Review ITS device locations and inventories.
- Preparing exhibits and figures using: MicroStation OpenRoads Designer AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Field work and site visits, including: Conducting site visits and field investigations.
- Verifying existing traffic signal equipment.
- Documenting field conditions with photos.
- Performing ITS inventory collection.
